'Ever Thine, Every Mine, Ever Ours' - A Modern Affair inspired by deep rooted family history, love letters and family heirlooms sprinkled throughout our wedding decor. We wanted to visually share a poem about a deeply tied family history, through movement, design elements and our bride's fashion. We incorporated many design details that tie to our bride's family history - a beautiful custom made monogram, intentional design details and lush creamy white, pinks and peach tone flowers.
We hosted the editorial at the Whistle Bear a beautiful venue that ouses of history, the wood panels and the bright and airy room, perfect for our modern affair. Trousseau means, the personal possessions of a bride. This includes her household linens, her dress, shoes, accessories and everything she needs to get ready for the day. We wanted to showcase the beautiful bride getting ready and enjoying her morning. She made her coffee, put rollers in her hair and started applying her makeup on. For the reception area we wanted to emphasize our colours and textures, with a beautiful draped arch over our reception table, with modern smoke colour chandeliers. We wanted to keep our tabletop lush with a runner of flowers, muted candles and layers of patterned stemware, chargers plates and rich gold flatware. The bride wanted an intimate ceremony area with a beautiful lush floral arch and sprouted florals etching out the aisle. In addition we also had an oyster bar for their guests as well as a harpist that played 'can't help falling in love' while she walked down the aisle.
Our bride spent her summers in France with her family, we wanted to emphasize her feeling of love and feeling into our design concept. We wanted a modern affair, sprinkled with little family heirlooms and traditions through our decor and design.
